Greenspoon Marder's Journey to the Cloud

For Greenspoon Marder, the move to Elite's cloud platform wasn't just a technology decision. It was a fundamental shift in how their firm manages the work-to-cash cycle. On-prem, billing required manual steps at every stage, including proforma review still handled on paper. Today, the firm runs eBillingHub alongside Elite Workspace and Data Insights, giving everyone from billing staff to lawyers real-time visibility into where every invoice stands, from time entry through delivery.
The impact on lawyer experience has been one of the most immediate and visible changes. Before the migration, lawyers waited for someone to generate a report and send it to them. Now, financial data is available at their fingertips through Data Insights dashboards, and the feedback has reflected that. Lawyers can review their financials in the middle of a phone call or a client meeting, slice the data themselves, and get answers without waiting on anyone else. Adoption across the firm has been strong, and the ease-of-use feedback the team has received has been, in their words, through the roof.
Integrations were the part of the project Greenspoon Marder feared most going in. With a document management system and multiple third-party connections to maintain, the stakes were high. What they found was that Elite's modern APIs and built-in integrations handled every connection without a single issue. The process they had braced for as the hardest part of the migration turned out to be the smoothest.
“The adoption of Elite Financial Management Solution including Elite Workspace has been fabulous across our firm.”

Security and infrastructure were equally important considerations. As a firm managing both sensitive client data and financial records, Greenspoon Marder needed confidence that a cloud environment would meet a higher bar, not just match what they had on-prem. Elite Cloud's deployment on Microsoft Azure made the decision straightforward, given the firm's existing Azure footprint, and aligned with their view that native cloud architecture is built with security as a foundation rather than an afterthought.
“The APIs were all modern. The built-in integrations allowed us to talk to our document management system. It was the smoothest part of the actual project, and that was the part we were most worried about.”
- William Riley, Chief Technical Officer
